Hi, I’m Marianne, and welcome back to Cupa Cabana TV. Today, we’re going to talk about the difference between light and dark roast.

There are a lot of misconceptions about this topic. Most people assume that a dark roast is stronger in taste and has more caffeine than a light roast. Well, part of that is true. While the taste usually is strong and bold, it actually has less caffeine than a light roast. The reason for this is very simple. A dark roast is roasted longer, and the caffeine is essentially cooked out. So that makes the light roast having more caffeine than a dark roast.

Now, you can impress your friends with this coffee tidbit. Thanks for watching.
