January has been an extremely busy month for us. We are very excited to begin 2015 by hitting the ground running. One of this month’s most interesting events was serving coffee at Scala‘s Connected Cafe at the Big Show 2015 at New York City’s Jacob Javitz Center. The Big Show is the NRF’s flagship exhibition highlighting the industry’s newest sensations, an unparalleled networking opportunity and education on better connecting with prospective consumers. Scala’s innovative ordering technology creates a fun and interactive opportunity to engage guests from the start of the ordering process throughout delivery. The Connected Cafe was showcased at the event and we were very happy to provide our trained and experienced baristas to staff the ingenious setup.

Ordering coffee is now a breeze with our self-serve counter. There’s no need for ticket numbers –  customers can place their orders via app or touchscreen tablet.  Once their coffee is ready, customers’ pictures will show up on the main display.”

The exhibition attendees absolutely adored the simplicity of the process, the ensured accuracy and the time saving ability of the user friendly ordering interface. It was an absolute honor to be including in the introduction of cutting cutting edge technology that can truly improve the customers ordering and overall retail experience.
