The perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day is an at-home brunch cooked with plenty of love.
So when it comes to brunch, what’s the best way to spice things up? If you’re a fan of coffee and Bloody Marys, this recipe is the ideal way to kick off your Mother’s Day; a “Morning Mary.” Although it might sound a little off-putting combining tomato juice and coffee, this is one of those recipes you must try before making a final judgment. It may surprise you just how perfect these two brunch delicacies combine.

INGREDIENTS
- ⅓ cup (75ml) cold coffee
- ⅓ cup (75ml) tomato juice
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon sugar syrup
- grinding of black pepper
- dash of Worcestershire sauce optional
- dash of Tabasco sauce optional
MORNING MARY INSTRUCTIONS
- Fill a glass with ice, add the coffee, lemon juice, tomato juice and the sugar syrup and stir well.
- If using, add the Worcestershire and tabasco and stir again. Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper and garnish with a stalk of celery, twist of lemon ad sprig of rosemary.
