Hi, and welcome back to Cupa Cabana TV. I’m Marianne Cordillo, owner and founder of Cupa Cabana Espresso and Coffee Catering. Today, we have seven practical uses of coffee grinds around the home. First one is a beauty scrub. Mixing used coffee grinds with honey creates a great scrub that will gently exfoliate and leave your skin glowing and smooth. The second is for compost. Adding coffee grinds in compost piles can boost the nutrient levels of the newly forming soil and plus the worms love it. Third is fertilizer. Add spent grinds to the soil in both indoor and outdoor plants. Again, essential nutrients can be formed and your plants will thank you for it. Deodorizer. Instead of using baking soda in the refrigerator, use coffee grinds to deodorize. Clean pots and pans. Used grinds can be used to scrub pots and pans clean with a sponge, because of their slightly abrasive nature. As a pest repellent. You can sprinkle grinds in areas or gardens where you want pests or pets to not be around. This is especially effective on slugs and cats. As a dust preventive. Sprinkle damp grinds on fireplace ash before cleaning it. It will keep the ash from rising as you clean.
